Welcome!
1. Professor
I often get mistaken for a student — but I’m actually a professor and NCTM! I teach piano at both the college and pre-college levels at Palm Beach Atlantic University and its Preparatory Department. I hold a Doctor of Music in Piano Performance from Florida State University, with specialized certificates in Piano Pedagogy, Music Theory Pedagogy, and College Teaching. Go Noles.
2. Musician
A Renaissance-man-in-progress, I enjoy solo performance just as much as collaborative work — whether it’s chamber music, accompanying vocalists or instrumentalists, or playing with choirs and orchestras. I also serve as a pianist and organist in church settings, with experience across Lutheran, Presbyterian, Methodist, and non-denominational traditions. If you’re a composer, I’d love to perform or premiere your work! I'm also a hibernated conductor and singer.
3. Human
I’m Malaysian Chinese and speak at least three languages fluently: Mandarin, English, and Malay (plus a bit of Spanish, French, German, Cantonese, Hakka, Foochow, and Hokkien). Outside music, I enjoy reading, swimming, people-watching, planning, cultural exploration, and good conversations. I’m a Christian, an INFJ, a Ravenclaw, a musical lover, and an avid traveler. I also don't bite.
